• Meet your in-country representative at the airport before setting out on this unique Malagasy adventure.
  • Please be aware that your driver will be waiting for you at the International Arrival gate.
  • An airport sign with your name should be seen and you may have to look for a logo if the airport gets overcrowded. If you cannot locate your driver please remain calm and approach the Airport Welcome Service.
  •  An announcement intended for your driver can be broadcasted there, and this will then become the rally point. In the case of an emergency or you cannot locate your driver, the emergency contact details are on your documents and you should call the mentioned numbers before attempting to leave the airport. 
  • You will be given your welcome package including maps and more, then be transferred to your hotel.
  • Overnight at Ibis Hotel or Similar .


  • After breakfast, we start drive eastward through the highlands to Andasibe. We will stop over at Reptiles Park.
  • Visit Mandraka Park, here you can see some of endemic chameleons, snakes, insects and reptiles of Madagascar. After the visit here we will continue to follow the road to Andasibe.
  • In the evening, before dinner, enjoy a night walk looking for the many nocturnal creatures.
  • Night and dinner at Vakona Lodge or Similar


  • After an early breakfast you will be taken to the rainforest at Mantadia national park, where the main objective is to see – among other species – the remarkable Indri. Hearing their whale-like calls emanating from the mist-enshrouded rainforests in the early mornings, is pure Malagasy magic at its best.
  • During the dawn chorus birding is wonderfully productive too. In the quieter middle part of the day, visit Lemur Island, a refuge for lemurs confiscated from trappers.
  • Night and dinner at Vakona Lodge or Similar


  • During the morning you will be taken on a final rainforest walk in Andasibe- Analamazaotra , during which you can seek species previously not seen. A visit will also be made to the reforestation project under way by Association Mitsinjo: this is one of the many inspiring initiatives now being supported by Money for Madagascar.
  •  After lunch, drive back to Antananarivo.
  • Night and dinner at Ibis hotel  or Similar


  • After the breakfast we will drive to Maevatanana where is the city nested at the bottom of basin, resulting in an oppressively hot climate.
  • After lunch, we head straight western to reach Ankarafantsika through the dry deciduous forest with great number of birds.
  • Arrival at Ankarafantsika we will check your hotel.
  •  Dinner and overnight at Gite d’Ampijoroa


  • Excursion in the Forest station in the natural reserve of Ankarafantsika, which contains the fully protected example of dry western forest in Madagascar, and the 70 species of the reptiles.
  • It is a home for eight lemur species including Coquerel’s sifaka, brown lemur and four nocturnal: sportive, woolly, grey mouse and fat-tailed lemur.
  •  It is also the best place for the bird- watchers.
  • Nocturnal visit is starting to find the tiny lemur.
  • Dinner and overnight at Gite d’Ampijoroa


  • Continue to Mahajanga, along the way, you will explore Amboromalandy wetland where you will also discover several species of Birds.
  • The afternoon is at leisure
  • Night and dinner at Karibo lodge and Similar.

Day 8-9: MAHAJANGA – ANJOHIBE CAVE (depending for the time, the best season is April to October)

  • It’s better for us to extend your trip to north. There we will visit the Anjohibe cave, beneath two small hills wind a series of subterranean room and galleries adorned with stalactites, stalagmites and other cave decoration. This site allows  visitors to discover the splendour of its rivers and natural swimming pools
  • Camping at night.


  • In the afternoon, drive back to Mahajanga by the red path through the palm forest.
  • You will be transferred to your hotel with the remainder of the day at leisure.
  •  Night and dinner at Karibo lodge and Similar.


  • After the breakfast drive to Cirque rouge  this canyon is a natural  amphitheatre with warm red , ochre and Indian pink hues, then have restful  at  “Grand Pavoie” beach.
  • Lunch in the Restaurant.
  • In the Afternoon , drive back to the town then have walk evening along seashores
  • Night and dinner at Karibo lodge and Similar.


  • Drive from here to Antsanitia Beach. Antsanitia lies on Morira River’s edge, it is about 25km from Mahajanga on small plateau between Morira and Ocean .It allows the visitors to have panoramic view and beautiful sunset.
  • Free time in the afternoon.
  • Dinner and Overnight at Antsanitia Hotel

Day 13-14: ANTSANITIA (Beach)

  • Antsanitia offers you the perfect coastal retreat and many sea activities you could practice here as stream up on Morira river by canoe to visit Mangrove and medicinal plants, fishing
  • Lunch in the Restaurant.
  • Enjoy the sunset on the beach before you will have dinner; seafood is best choice.
  • Dinner and Overnight at Antsanitia Hotel


  • For those who want not fly back to Tana, after early  breakfast drive back to Tana by car it’s 09 hours driving.
  • Upon arrival in Antananarivo, we will then enjoy an afternoon guided walking tour of the old city, learning about the country’s royal history at the Rova palace complex and enjoying a view out across the city.
  • In the evening,  you will a enjoy farewelll dinner as you say goodbye and then transfer to Airport to check in your flight back home
